Plain English Promise: This Privacy Policy is written in plain language so you actually understand what you are agreeing to. BondlyBook believes legal documents should be honest and readable.

1. Who We Are

2. What Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

  • •Phone number — used to create and verify your account
  • •Full name and preferred name — to personalise your experience
  • •Profile photo — displayed on your profile
  • •Occupation, organization, location, and bio — optional profile fields
  • •Date of birth — optional, used for birthday celebrations
  • •Contact information you add — names, phone numbers, and relationship details
  • •Notes, memories, and follow-ups — relationship records you create
  • •Interaction logs — calls, meetings, and other interactions you record

Information collected automatically:

  • •Device type and browser — to ensure BondlyBook works on your device
  • •Usage data — which pages you visit and how long you spend on them
  • •Location — only when you actively use Proximity Reminders, never stored
  • •Push notification tokens — to deliver notifications to your device

What we do NOT collect:

  • •Payment information — BondlyBook is currently free
  • •Content of your phone calls, SMS messages, or WhatsApp conversations
  • •Your microphone or camera — except when you actively use the QR scanner
  • •Continuous location tracking — only when you tap Who Is Near Me

3. Your Notes and Memories Are Private

Notes, memories, and follow-ups you record about a contact are completely private to you. The person you wrote them about has absolutely no access to them — ever. Only you can see what you have written about your contacts. This is a fundamental and non-negotiable principle of BondlyBook.

4. How We Use Your Information

  • •To provide the BondlyBook service — account creation, contact management, health scores, and notifications
  • •To improve BondlyBook — aggregated and anonymized usage data only
  • •To send you notifications — relationship reminders, birthday alerts, and follow-up reminders (you can disable these in Settings)
  • •To verify your identity — phone number verification through one-time passwords

5. Who We Share Your Information With

We do not sell your personal information. We share limited information only with:

  • •Supabase — our database provider for secure data storage
  • •Firebase (Google) — for push notification delivery only
  • •Arkesel — for SMS delivery when you invite contacts (future feature)
  • •Legal authorities — only if required by law or court order

6. Data Security

  • •All data transmitted over HTTPS — encrypted in transit
  • •All data stored in Supabase with encryption at rest
  • •Row Level Security ensures you can only access your own data
  • •Authentication through phone OTP only — we never store passwords
  • •Authentication tokens expire and require renewal

7. Your Rights

  • •Right to Access — view all your information inside BondlyBook
  • •Right to Correct — update your profile in Settings at any time
  • •Right to Delete — delete your account in Settings → Privacy → Delete Account
  • •Right to Opt Out — disable all push notifications in Settings at any time

8. Children's Privacy

BondlyBook is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Contact josephaduparkoh@gmail.com to report any such account.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as BondlyBook grows. When we make significant changes we will notify you through the app and update the effective date above.
